DESCRIPTION:  The purpose of Business Law I is to produce citizens who are well informed in the general aspects of the law and who are aware of their legal rights and responsibilities in order that they may develop a respect for those laws that will influence their lives on a daily basis. Courses to further understanding the legal aspects of business would be Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and Accounting.

 

ASSESSMENT FOR GCE:                2A—Documenting sources of information obtained through electronic resources using acceptable formats

                                                            3B—Using spell check, thesaurus and grammar check

 

PREREQUISITE:  Junior/Senior Standing I                One Semester                        CREDIT:  ½ credit

MAKE-UP WORK:

            If you follow the policy set by BFA, you will be able to make up any and all work missed. Excused absent day—you can make up the work.  Unexcused absent day—you will receive a zero.   It is your responsibility to make sure you meet the deadlines set for the accomplishments of all assignments.

 

GRADING:

            70% Daily work test and projects

            10% Participation

            20% Final Exam

 

 

PROGRESS:

            Students may have individual conferences with the teacher to review their progress.  Grades on kept Power School, therefore, both parents and students may view and have a printed copy of their progress at any time. 

 

PARTICIPATION

            20% of your grade will be based on the following and you will receive a weekly grade.

Attendance—your participation grade will be based on an amount of school days we will have during a particular week.  You will receive points for each day you are here—if you are not here, you won’t receive the points

Time Management:  How well do you utilize the time in class to accomplish the assignment?
