American Literature

Welcome to American Literature.  This course will cover a variety of American writings which will span from Native American stories, Puritan literature, the civil war experience, to contemporary America.  We will be looking at what makes American writing unique and how it applies to us today and the way we live. While the emphasis of the course will be on critical and analytical reading and writing, there will also be speaking and research requirements along with group and individual projects and papers.

The purpse of this page is to provide a space for assignment documents as well as documents that are used continually over the course of the year.  This allows students and parents to access lost documents as well as assignments given when absent.
