    Mr. Jeff Moulton

Introduction--Welcome to my webpage.  As you can see, I teach two very exciting classes involving American politics and history.  Both of my classes are centered on relevant and authentic learning, which attempts to allow the students to see excatly how our politics and our history play a direct role in their current lives.

Personal Background--It's hard to believe that it has been over twenty years since I graduated from BFA St. Albans!  I had a wonderful time growing up in St. Albans, as I was involved in music (tuba & piano) and sports (soccer & hockey).

I attended SUNY Potsdam where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies after completing my student teaching in Lincoln, England.  I returned to BFA as a para-professional and then moved on as a Children's Therapeutic Case Manager at Northwest Counseling and Support Services.

Eventually I became a member of our department at BFA in 1999, where I have taught a variety of courses including Psychology, Sociology, Global Studies, Senior Seminar, We The People, U.S. History, and a course I created called 'From Civil War to Civil Rights.' In the summer of 2010, I attained my Masters in Education Degree at Southern New Hampshire University.

Throughout my career, I have coached the BFA freshmen, JV, and varsity boys soccer for fourteen seasons, assisted with the BFA varsity girls hockey team for four seasons, and I have been with the BFA varsity girls softball team since 2003.

Purposes of This Website--This website has two general purposes:

1.  To serve as a link for students so they may access classroom agendas, resources, etc. that they may need due to absences, lost materials, etc.; and

2.  To involve parents in the teaching of our students.  Parents will be able to access this webpage whenever they desire and become well informed as to what their student is doing in our class, whether they review the daily agenda and/or access the resources that include all of the unit plan's documents.

Closing--I am looking forward to using this webpage as a vehicle to maximize our students' learning and allow them to take a limitless journey in discovering more about who they are as an American citizen.  Please do not hesitate to contact me through this webpage or via my new email addres at jmoulton@fcsuvt.org

Thank you,

Mr. Jeff Moulton
